brief.
Be Studio was tasked with converting a large commercial unit in central Norwich into a stylish hospitality venue. The client sought a multi-functional lounge bar and restaurant with striking aesthetics and flexible zones suited to both private gatherings and lively events. The design brief called for a blend of warm Mediterranean influences and the glamour of old Hollywood, expressed through rich textures, luxurious materials, and statement architectural features.

details.
The space is divided into four distinct yet connected zones that allow for varied experiences—intimate dinners, exclusive gatherings, or large-scale celebrations. A glass roof floods the main lounge with natural light by day and reveals the skyline by night, anchoring the mood with dramatic flair. At the heart of the venue sits a show-stopping central bar clad in fluted glass and onyx marble, surrounded by ceramic tile flooring and LED ring lighting for atmosphere. Each area tells its own visual story: from a neon-lit private lounge with fireplace and skyline views to a high-gloss Hollywood-inspired room with marble tables and textured wallpapers. Mediterranean touches come through in the use of cobalt blue, rustic wood, floral wallpaper, and plush textiles that contrast beautifully with high-shine surfaces. The LED-lit entrance tunnel sets a theatrical tone upon arrival, enhancing the venue’s visual identity. Every element was selected not just for aesthetics but also for performance—ensuring the venue remains as functional as it is striking.
